Breaking the Law for Linda

Last night we drove to "an undisclosed location" to see some bands play. It was in a neighborhood that we had never been to before. C&R were taking us to see their friend Linda Hagood perform.

Linda is from Brooklyn and writes songs called "Pet Zombie" and "Marsupial Shananigans."

It was at someone's house, in the basement (down some worrying stairs that reminded me of horror movies with monsters that live in the cellar.) There was skill needed to descend them without falling. Musty.

There were some nice people there along with annoying hipsters - just like in regular music venues. The crowd was very enthusiastic and Linda's songs made us laugh. There was a guy with a giant apple juice jug full of beer and lots of paper cups and brown paper bags. We should have brought more to drink.

We left after Linda played. Chef L'E was a little disappointed that she did not do "Pet Zombie." I was glad to leave the "undisclosed location" before getting trapped in a fire. I'm a worrier.
